Assistant equipment for mud system

In a mud system, we need processing equipment, such as shale shaker, mud cleaner, centrifuge, and so on. Besides, we also need assistant equipment including mud agitator, pump, mixing hopper and so on.

Mud agitators are fit on all of tanks except sand trap or shaker compartment. We usually mount agitators as 1 set per 3m or 1 set per compartment. Sizing agitator should be according to tank size, mud property. We know there is a TOR for defining proper agitator configuration. We select agitators as per the calculation. At Aipu, shaft of agitators are made of high quality seamless pipe holds 89mm diameter, while blade for impeller are high quality standard steel plate thick 10-12mm.

Mixing hoppers we talk are the Venturi hopper and usually used together with centrifugal pump as mixing pump. Sometimes, we fit Venturi hopper with shearing pump as the jet shearing pump. Venturi hopper can be made as a normal standard one or a portable one. They both have same function and principle, difference is appearance and valve,frame.

For centrifugal pump, in a complete mud system there are trip pump, transfer pump, charging pump, feeding pump, mixing pump, shearing pump. We name it according to specific function. For example, feeding pump is used to feed drilling fluid to hydrocyclone, mixing pump is an integration of hopper and centrifugal pump to compound drilling mud or recycling/add the barite to increase the drilling fluid gravity.Furthermore, we can produce the jet mud mixer with the shearing pump for a better compounding and mix result for the drilling fluid material.
