How To Adjust A Submersible Slurry Pump？
The APYZ submersible slurry pump is a single-stage,single suction cantilever structure, the main feature isin the liquid part of the pump shaft, there is enough stiffness, impeller, no bearings between the pump shell,no shaft seal, can be transported with a large concentration of fixed particles medium.
Submersible slurry pump normally used for feeding shale shaker for CBM, HDD. It also can be used as feeding pump for decanter centrifuge. Usually we use single stage and single suction system. The standard length of pump 1 3m, but it can be customized per user demand.
Actually, the slurry pump is one kind of centrifugal pump. As slurry pump is mainly transferring liquid and solid mixture, the pump raw material is rather anti-abrasive. It can transfer different hard materials. Including sand, cement, particles, shale, and so on.

- Adjustment of the submersible slurry pump motor direction:
The motor direction should ensure that the pump direction is consistent with the specified direction, and reverse rotation is not allowed, otherwise the impeller will be disengaged or other parts will be damaged.
When adjusting the motor direction, it should be done in a state of complete disconnection from the pump (that is, without coupling pins or belts). Only when the motor direction is confirmed to meet the requirements can it be connected to the pump. Blind starting of the motor is never allowed.
- Adjustment of the submersible slurry pump transmission device:
For elastic pin coupling transmission, the pins and protective covers should be installed.
For belt transmission, the belt should be installed, the tension should be adjusted, the tension of each belt should be consistent, and the protective cover should be installed.
- Adjustment of the impeller clearance of the submersible slurry pump:
For the packing plus impeller combination or packing seal slurry pump, turn the shaft by hand in the direction of pump rotation. The shaft should be able to drive the impeller to rotate, and there should be no friction, otherwise the impeller clearance should be adjusted.
For mechanical seal slurry pumps, if the mechanical seal is installed correctly, the impeller clearance generally does not need to be adjusted.
